Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

• Account information: your name and email address. If you sign in using a third-party sign-in provider (such as Google), we receive your name and email from that provider.
• Profile information: your age, sport, position, experience level, training goals, bio, availability, and profile photo.
• Precise location: with your permission, your device's precise GPS coordinates, which we use to show you nearby athletes and venues and to display your general city. We share these coordinates with a third-party mapping service (OpenStreetMap) solely to convert them into a city name.
• Identity verification documents: a photo of a government-issued ID that you upload so we can verify your identity and age.
• Parent/guardian information (athletes under 18): your parent or guardian's name and phone number, and a signed parental/guardian consent form that you upload.
• Content you create: messages you send to other users, and photos or videos you post.
• Usage information: information generated through your use of the app, such as bookings, training sessions, and training matches.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate and improve Athlete Mania, connect you with nearby athletes and training opportunities, verify your identity and age, obtain and record parental/guardian consent for minors, enable messaging and bookings, communicate with you, and maintain the safety and integrity of our community (including our block, report, and content-review tools). We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Age-Based Safety Protections

To help protect younger athletes, Athlete Mania separates users into age groups based on verified age. Athletes under 18 can discover and message only other athletes under 18, and athletes 18 and older can discover and message only other adults. These restrictions apply once an athlete's age has been verified through their ID document.

How We Store and Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. Your information is stored using a third-party application-hosting provider that operates our backend and file storage on our behalf. We share information as follows:

• With other users: limited profile information (such as name, sport, general location, and profile photo) is shown to other users in your age group to facilitate connections and training. Your identity documents, consent forms, and parent/guardian contact details are never shown to other users.
• With service providers: our hosting provider and the mapping service described above, who process data only to help us operate the app.
• For legal reasons: when required by law or to protect the safety of our users, particularly minors.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your account, your profile, your identity and consent documents, and the content you posted to the community — your vibes, replies, reactions, notifications and follows — from our active systems. Messages you sent remain in the conversations of the athletes who received them, bookings and training history remain on the records of the athletes involved, and safety records such as reports and blocks placed on your account are retained so that we can protect other athletes. Data Security

We take measures to protect your information. Access to identity documents, consent forms, and parent/guardian contact details is restricted to the account holder and authorized administrators, and is not accessible to other users. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your Rights and Choices

You can update your profile at any time. You may deactivate your account temporarily or permanently delete it from within the app, which removes your profile and associated data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information; you can exercise these by contacting us using the details below.

Children's Privacy

Athlete Mania is not intended for children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 14. Athletes aged 14 to 17 may use the app only with verified parent or guardian consent, and we apply the age-based safety protections described above. Parents and guardians may contact us to review, update, or delete their child's information, or to withdraw consent.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app.
